Such as: Russia, USA, Australia, England, Hungary, Germany, and etc. The setting of the story was based in several different locations. Dash Weiss, also known as Hardeen, was Erichs brother. Bess Houdini was Houdini’s wife, and assisted him in all of his performances. Now not much of you may know Erich Weiss, but however he does play an extremely important role in Houdini’s entire life. The book begins in Wisconsin, USA where a young Erich Weiss was born, (supposedly). The other characters in the story are several secondary characters, that Houdini meets along the way, such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of all of the Sherlock Holmes books. The characters in the story are: Harry Houdini/Erich Weiss, Bess Houdini, Dash Weiss/Hardeen. Some examples of his feats are: The Chinese Water Death Trap, Flying the Unflyable Plane, his escape from one of Russia’s toughest prisons, and etc. How his story progresses since finding out where he was born until the Houdini séance, is how Sid describes how Houdini struggles for fame, and fortune, have led him to some of the most amazing feats, even leaving common magicians astounded. The main idea of this book is about how Houdini attempted his greatest feats, his secrets, and his show business along the way. Over the summer, I have recently been reading a book titled: Escape! The Story of the Great Houdini by Sid Fleishman.
